OneHope

The mission of OneHope is to affect destiny by providing God’s Word to every child. The ministry began in the 80’s when Bob Hoskins mailed nicely embossed bibles to leaders throughout South America. When the Minister of Eduction of El Salvador received his, he called Bob and asked him to send bibles to every child in his country. Bob’s immediately responded that he could, hung up the phone, and then said “hey, how many kids do they have in El Salvador.” After figuring out that it was over 1 million children, he raised the funds and developed the plans to get the God’s word to the children and youth of El Salvador.

This mission spread to reach the children and youth of the entire world.  In 2009, my wife and I moved to Cairo, Egypt  where I was honored to develop the strategy and organization necessary to carry God’s Word to the children and youth of the Middle East, North Africa, and Central Asia.

Rather than build an organization requiring a major infrastructure, we developed a market-based-strategy. While our end goal was getting scripture into children’s hands, our primary customers were the organizations who held major events for children. By focusing on them and their needs, we were able to grow our distribution from 39,000 Books of Hope in 2009, to reaching nearly 2.5 million children by 2011.
